Click 'Tools', then goto 'Internet Options…'
Click on the 'Advanced' tab, and look for the 'Browsing' section.
Make sure the following options are unchecked:
Enable Install On Demand (Internet Explorer)
Enable Install On Demand (Other)
Enable third-party browser extensions (requires restart)
Now click on the 'Security' tab. Make sure the 'Internet' zone is highlighted.
Click on the 'Custom Level…' button.
Make sure you have the following settings:
Download signed ActiveX controls: Prompt
Download unsigned ActiveX controls: Disable
Initialize and script ActiveX controls not marked as safe: Disable
Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins: Enable
Script ActiveX controls marked safe for scripting: Enable
